Due to Risks Contained unique position as a training and operational international company we often get enquiry’s with questions, we always welcome visitors to contact our offices should they have an enquiry although below is a list of frequently asked questions that may answer your query.

“What are the employment/career opportunities within the CP and Specialist Security Sector?”

 The industry and sector as a whole is extremely diverse and varied depending on your previous experience and sector career aim this will generically point you into one or a number of CP sectors for example Music, Film, celebrity, Hostile Environment or Corporate, each sector is very different and each have their own diverse skill set. The art to progressing within these sectors is to network with the major companies and continually develop, Risks Contained will be hold all successful trainees details on our staff database and with your permission release your details to affiliated operational companies.

“Will completing one of your training courses lead to a position with Risks Contained?”

We are in a unique position as a training and operational company to provide our trainees with operational duties although no guarantee of employment is provided, in addition to our duties many companies look highly upon our specialist training and this will stand you in good stead with other companies you will also note from our Where are our students now page many have gone onto work for Risks Contained and other major CP companies in a host of roles and sectors.

“Do you have to have a Military back ground in order to have a career in specialist security?”

Long and Short answer is No, there is no hiding the fact that skills and training obtained via armed forces or her majesty’s government  will assist you within the industry but many of the industry(s) most respected operatives have come from other backgrounds this especially the case in the Music, film and Celebrity Sector.

“Are all of your courses fully accredited?”

Yes all of our courses are accredited by Ed Excel, EDI, BSC, OCN, NCFE, in relation to our associated company Aid Training City and Guilds.

“Will all your Close Protection and Surveillance Courses lead to an SIA License”

All our CP courses are awarded by Ed Excel and will provide you with the necessary certification to apply for your CP SIA license, in order to do this you will need to apply for this via the SIA which is handled completely independently from the training process, Risks Contained will be happy to countersign and applications in the ID section. In relation to Surveillance the SIA license is yet to be introduced but is expected in April 2010 our course(s) has the necessary core modules and trainers to cover the license introduction although this has not been set or confirmed so we are unable to give cast iron guarantees in this field until April 2010

“Do we provide other SIA training?”

Yes we provide all types of SIA training including Door Supervision and Manned Guarding although this is generally for corporate companies, should individuals require this training please visit www.vsg-uk.co.uk who will be happy to assist, please mention Risks when contacting Vital
